Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that uses bare hands and feet as weapons, emphasizing kicks. Traces of Tae Kwon Do can be found as far back as 2000 years in the form of wall carvings. Forerunners of Tae Kwon Do were Tae Kyun and Soo Bak Do or Hwarang Do, ancient martial art that were used in combat.

    Tae Kwon Do Translates to:
  • TAE -- to strike with the hand
  • KWON -- to strike with the foot
  • DO -- the way or the art; your most powerful weapon, your brain.

Tae Kwon Do is the art of kicking and striking. However along with the proper way to execute a side kick Tae Kwon Do students get much more from class.
